Deep Clean: Pour approx. two centimeters of hot water (approx. 140°F) into the
sink. Add one dishwasher tab or 2 tablespoons of a standard household
dishwashing detergent to the hot water and stir well until the tab is clearly
dissolved (caution: risk of scalding). You can apply a generous amount of the
cleaning solution to the draining board or the edge of the sink using a dishwashing
brush. Allow the lye to run off after 90 minutes and rinse the entire surface with
plenty of cold water. If necessary, use the damp eraser sponge to remove any
remaining residue. Then rinse well again, wipe the sink with a dry, soft cloth and
leave to dry for at least 30 minutes.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Dark Granite Composite Sinks
Onyx | Gunmetal | Mocha | Concrete
TO DEEP CLEAN YOUR DARK CRYSTALLITE SERIES SINK, PLEASE PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:
Degrease: Pour plenty of water and a little washing liquid onto a soft dishwashing
sponge (without a scrubbing pad) or an eraser sponge and wipe over the sink in a
circular motion. Rinse with plenty of clean water and then dry the sink with a soft
microfiber cloth.
Descale: To remove stubborn limescale deposits, soap residue or gray haze,
apply any mild descaler evenly to the affected surface and leave to work for 15
minutes. Then rinse with clean water and wipe dry. Repeat for stubborn
limescale deposits.
Sealing: The sink must be completely clean and dry before sealing. Cover the parts
not to be treated with a film and apply a sealant (approved for kitchen and
bathroom sinks) as thinly and evenly as possible. It is best to apply a small amount
of sealant to the surfaces to be treated and spread carefully with a clean fleece or
microfiber cloth. After 1 minute, remove any excess sealant with a dry fleece or
microfiber cloth. The product must be completely absorbed, it must not come to a
standstill on the surface. The freshly treated sink should be protected from
moisture for at least 6 hours, after which it is ready for use again.
Please do not use any highly abrasive cleaning agents such as scouring agents, chlorine-
based cleaners, drain cleaners or alkaline solutions and other solvents - these can cause
lasting damage to your sink. You can easily keep your Pelican sink hygienically clean and
remove even stubborn stains with mild cleaning and care products.
